Cathy High is a YYOGA Power, Flow, Hatha and YHot teacher.
Working as an RMT for 15 years was an education in anatomy, bio mechanics, and how the body adapts, functions and dysfunctions. Cathy likes to integrate that knowledge into the sequence of each class and use it while guiding the practice.
Cathy says. "Medical students at Yale University expand their observation skills by visiting the art gallery and shifting their perspective. I like to think that my creative experiences enhance my awareness of student's movement patterns in class. We all bring a different set of experiences with us that impact every aspect of our being."
Cathy says yoga has helped her be more clear about who she is. It unconsciously sifts through what needs to stay and what needs to go.
Students can expect laughter, creative sequences and clear direction.

What is Hanuman pose? Cathy explains.
Hanuman is front-splits. The pose creates a leaping shape in your body. The pose was named after the Hindu monkey god, Hanuman.
You have to be committed to working both legs and staying connected to your core which will keep you centred and strong.
It's a great pose for everybody to try!
