Restorative yoga helps to relieve tension and stress at the end of the day. The more that you practice these poses regularly, the more likely you can get a good night’s rest.
In all of Annabel's classes, you can expect storytelling, joy, and humour along with some unique approaches. Annabel starts off her class with an educational aspect to help you understand the benefits of this practice along with some suggestions on sleep tools that may support this practice and your sleep hygiene. You'll be guided through a gentle self-massage, through to several restorative poses. You'll end in a side-lying Savasana, and if you're in bed you can drift off into a peaceful slumber.
A couple of things to gather before you begin this class — and you can substitute these props for anything you have at home — are:
A bolster (or couch cushions or bed pillows)
Two blocks (or books)
A chip foam block (or a book / thinly rolled up blanket)
Set yourself up near a wall
Two blankets rolled into snakes
Rocks or stones (optional)
Essential oils (optional)
