Meet YYOGA teacher trainer and YYOGA at Home teacher Jayme Burke!
Jayme began her Yoga journey during her time at theatre schools and fell in love with the practice. She began teaching Yoga eight years ago upon completing her 240 hour teacher training with Daniel Clement of Open Source Yoga. Her classes are alignment focused, dynamic, playful, and aimed at strengthening the mind-body connection and subsequently finding a peaceful state of being.
Jayme is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, leading workshops and consulting privately to help people find their ideal dietary lifestyle.
Where do you gain your inspiration from?
I gain inspiration from my fellow teachers, as well as various books on the subject of yoga. I try to focus on a simple value each day and apply it to my life.
How do you want your students to feel after your class?
I want my students to feel clear, centred, and energized. It is my hope that each class leads them to a deeper place of knowledge within themselves and from there, the ability govern themselves in a more empowered and compassionate way.
How has yoga impacted your life?
Yoga has allowed me to be more self reflective, empathetic, and kind. By nourishing the relationship I have with myself it becomes easier to see the interconnectedness of all things and instead of feeling on the outside looking in, my place in the world.
