Research shows that self-care practices like this one can help to soothe us. They lower cortisol and support mood regulation. Step into a space of nurturing, with Annabel to help invite calm.
Annabel asks you to set up your space like a supportive nest with all your props surrounding you. Put on your comfiest, warm clothes, and enjoy.
Annabel starts off by helping you set up your safe space. Using your breath you'll begin the class laying down to slow your mind and body. You'll use other techniques like touch and meta mediation throughout the practice. Each gentle pose brings you further and further into calm.
A couple of things to gather before you begin this class — and you can substitute these props for anything you have at home — are:
Two bolsters (or couch cushions or bed pillows)
Two blocks (or books)
A chip foam block (or a book / thinly rolled up blanket)
Set yourself up near a wall
Two to three blankets
Rocks or stones (optional)
Essential oils (optional)
