About the Organizations:
VAFCS is a charitable organization based in Vancouver, BC that provides essential services to the Indigenous peoples of Vancouver. They provide a nightly shelter (open to all cultures), programs in health, welfare, social services, human rights, culture, education, recreation, and equality for all genders of Indigenous people of all age groups.
Anishnawbe Health Foundation is a fully accredited community health centre located in Toronto, ON. AHT offers access to health care practitioners from many disciplines including Traditional Healers, Elders and Medicine People. They provide ancient ceremonies and traditions, which are intrinsic to Indigenous health care models, as well as training programs allowing community members the opportunity to learn and grow in a culture based setting. They also work with the homeless, providing crisis intervention and working with those seeking to escape homelessness.
Donations start at $5, but you can donate any amount over $5 that you wish. As always with these classes, 100% of sales go towards our benefiting organizations.
