Hatha yoga places special emphasis on controlled breathing and posture. Building core strength, which is key to good posture, is another important aspect of this type of yoga. This Hatha practice puts extra emphasis on that stable and strong core.
Jayme gets you to start on the mat in a reclined butterfly. You'll move through variations of tabletop and into a standing series that includes goddess squat. The last bit of class includes targeted core exercises to help build strength and stamina!
This class uses a yoga mat and yoga blocks. If you don't have blocks at home, you can use a stiff pillow, a stack of books or anything similar you have around your home that is stable and supports you in the same way.
