Meet YYOGA floor barre and yoga teacher, Mandi Von Alkier!
Mandi has a passion for movement and a strong background in all things fitness growing up as a dancer. Mandi started assisting classes from a very young age and started teaching at the age of 14. She has taught dance to competitive and non-competitive dancers, skaters, gymnasts, school children, and adults.
Mandi discovered and immersed herself in yoga 7 years ago to help heal injuries after years of dance. After completing her degree in Psychology, Mandi backpacked around the world for 5 years visiting over 30 countries and counting before moving to Vancouver to complete her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training from the Vancouver School of Yoga. Mandi currently teaches 15+ classes a week around the city as a freelance Yoga and Barre instructor. Her previous experience as a dancer and dance teacher have given her a deep understanding of the body and alignment, which she weaves into her teachings with humour and positive vibes.
